Kris Jenner did not get Garth Kemp, a local Los Angeles weatherman, fired from the ABC affiliate station KABC after he dissed Kim Kardashian on-air. There have been rumors that the family matriarch got Kemp dinged, but the veteran newsman apparently quit the station on his own accord after 17 years of service.

Kemp left the network to be a voice-over actor, reports TMZ, though others in the industry say it seemingly was a contract dispute over money that led Kemp to leave. In any event, Kris Jenner had nothing to do with the abrupt departure of Kemp, who’s last unannounced day was Monday.

As Gossip Cop reported, Jenner slammed Kemp in June after the former weatherman insulted Kim Kardashian and Kanye West during the network’s morning show. Moments before Kemp’s segment aired, the show teased a story about Kardashian announcing her second pregnancy prompting Kemp to crack, “They all of a sudden got talent? Just a thought.”

Jenner wasn’t too pleased with the remark, and blasted the weatherman. She posted a video clip of Kemp’s comments on Instagram, along with the caption, “WOW. I thought you were better than this. @kimkardashian is a Producer, Business woman, clothing designer, entrepreneur, mother, and is the creator of her very own social media tsunami even you couldn’t predict. #kanyewest among his many talents has won 21 grammys.” The momager added, “#BULLY #USEDTOBEAFAN #BEKIND #DONTJUDGEOTHERS #ABC7 @abc7LA.”
