Kim Kardashian calls out Caitlyn Jenner for dissing Kris Jenner in a new clip from Sunday’s “I Am Cait.” Watch below.
As Gossip Cop reported, the new episode will showcase the increased family tensions that occurred as the result of Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair cover story. As previously noted, the article featured Caitlyn candidly talking about her gender identity issues, and the breakdown of her marriage to Kris. A preview released Thursday showed Khloe Kardashian taking issue with Caitlyn’s comments, and the new clip shows her sister is bothered, too.
“Khloe sees my mom upset, and so she gets defensive,” Kardashian tells her stepfather, who shoots back, “And doesn’t know anything about my side of the story.” But Kim responds by pointing out some of Caitlyn’s eyebrow-raising comments.
She tells Caitlyn, “You know, I read the Vanity Fair as well, and I think that there’s some things that you said that you might not realize are hurtful. You said Kendall and Kylie were a ‘distraction,’ and so when they read that — they’re gonna think — I don’t know if they’ll quite understand that.”
“Then it said, ‘Had Kris been accepting to who I am, we still would be together.’ And that’s the most unfair thing in the world to say,” says Kardashian. When Caitlyn interrupts to say she doesn’t “look at it that way,” Kim fires back, “You don’t look at it that way, but my mom does.”
But Caitlyn defends herself in a confessional, explaining, “The Vanity Fair article was very interesting for me to do because it was the first time I ever really had the opportunity to be absolutely truthful with a reporter about every aspect of my life.” She goes on, “It was an honest article. Sometimes when you’re honest, you know, it can be upsetting to some people.”
Though it’s not seen in the short clip, this is also the previously-teased scene in which Kardashian tells Caitlyn that while this is her “moment,” she doesn’t have to “bash” the Kardashians on her “way up.” Check out the video below, and tell us what you think!
