Kanye West not only stepped in for Frank Ocean at the FYF Fest in Los Angeles at the last minute, but he also surprised the audience on Saturday at the L.A. Sports Arena And Exposition Park when he brought Rihanna onstage. Actually, he may have surprised Rihanna, as well, who was simply sitting in the first row of the concert. Check out the video below.

While singing “FourFiveSeconds,” West handed Rihanna a mic while she sat in the audience. Though it may have been pre-planned, the Barbadian singer genuinely appeared surprised. Rihanna graciously sang part of the song with West, before saying, “L.A., make some noise for my n—a, Kanye!” The rapper then got Rihanna onstage to sing “All Of The Lights,” also to the audience’s delight.

As Gossip Cop noted, West was a last-minute addition to FYF Fest after Frank Ocean dropped out on Thursday. His reps said, “We’re really sorry that due to a scheduling conflict beyond our control, Frank Ocean is not going to be able to appear at FYF Festival as planned,” noting that he “had really been looking forward to the performance and to seeing all of his fans.” In a nod to Ocean, West began his FYF Fest performance by singing “No Church In The Wild,” which features vocal from Ocean.
