Josh Duggar is admitting he’s the “biggest hypocrite ever” on the heels of it being disclosed that the married former “19 Kids And Counting” star had two accounts with the cheating site Ashley Madison.
As Gossip Cop reported, Duggar, who previously acknowledged that he sexually abused his sisters when he was 14, was looking to have sex outside his marriage to Anna, who last month gave birth to the couple’s fourth child. The hack of the Ashley Madison site revealed on Wednesday that Duggar, the former head of the Family Research Council, an organization that champions marriage and family values, was seeking women who, according to his site profile, were open to “Experimenting with Sex Toys,” “Sharing Fantasies,” and “One-Night Stands.”
On Thursday, Duggar, who months ago apologized for his teen sex scandal, was once again sorry, this time for wanting to touch women he’s not related to. In a statement posted on the Duggar family website, he acknowledged he’s a total fraud, though did not mention his Ashley Madison accounts.
Duggan said in a statement, “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.” He added, “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family… I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.”
Duggan noted that while he was “fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.” He ended his apology by stating, “I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example. I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.”
