Jake Gyllenhaal and Dakota Johnson are NOT dating, despite an erroneous webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this rumor, as a source close to the Southpaw hunk assures us the allegation is absolutely not true.
The fact-free report, published earlier Tuesday by RadarOnline, claimed that the two stars enjoyed a romantic evening at a Los Angeles nightclub last week. A so-called “source” told the website that Gyllenhaal and the Fifty Shades of Grey beauty “left the venue through separate exits… glancing back at [each] other as if they were getting away with something.”
RadarOnline also tried to sell its gullible readers on the claim that Gyllenhaal has been “pining” for Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson’s daughter for more than four years. Perhaps someone at the webloid’s parent company is simply obsessed with the 34-year-old actor. Last week, RadarOnline’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, floated its own ridiculous story about Gyllenhaal supposedly romancing Susan Sarandon, 68.
But just as the tabloid story was flat-out wrong, so is the RadarOnline report about Johnson and Gyllenhaal. A source close to the actor exclusively tells Gossip Cop that he and Johnson are NOT romantically involved. Of course, Gossip Cop has come to expect such fan fiction from the site after busting countless bogus stories, such as last year’s claim that Busy Philipps was trying to set Gyllenhaal up with Michelle Williams. Seems like RadarOnline needs to find some better Gyllenhaal sources.
