Iggy Azalea NOT A “Heroin Addict,” Despite Report

Iggy Azalea is not a “heroin addict,” despite a report from a terribly unreliable webloid. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim. We’re told it’s “total BS.”

The potentially defamatory rumor was started by MediaTakeOut, a site that’s so clearly irresponsible with its reporting that it can’t even spell Azalea’s name correctly. The following is the headline from the webloid: “DRUG ADDICT????? A Close Up Pic Of IGGY AZAELIA’S Hands . . . Shows TRACK MARKS . . . Like She’s A HEROIN ADDICT!!!”

Gossip Cop used to think MediaFakeOut used so many capitalized words because no one could figure out how to unlock the caps key, but now we’re beginning to suspect that it’s to divert attention from the webloid’s atrocious spelling and equally horrific reporting.

The webloid further writes that “Azaelia” has “TRACK MARKS on her hands. Usually marks like that are associated with LONG-TERM heroin abuse.” Trying to distance itself from its utterly false reporting, MTO adds, “We hope that’s not what Iggy’s been doing to herself.”

Azalea is NOT a heroin addict, and the red marks on her hands can be the result of thousands of different things, including doing hard work, which clearly the reporters at MediaFakeOut seem unfamiliar with. This, of course, is not the first time Gossip Cop has busted the webloid for making up stories. A few months ago, Gossip Cop corrected the site when it reported that Azalea’s boyfriend (now fiance) Nick Young was “gay.”

Still, Gossip Cop fact-checks every story, no matter how preposterous they sound, and a rep for Azalea exclusively tells us the “heroin addict” story in “total BS.” The rep did not mention whether or not MediaFakeOut will be hearing from the singer’s lawyers.
