The New Jersey governor follows Jeb Bush in heading to 'The Tonight Show.'

New Jersey Governor and GOP presidential hopeful Chris Christie is the latest politico heading to late night.

The Tonight Show announced Monday that Christie will have a sitdown with Jimmy Fallon on Monday, Aug. 31, marking the second such interview NBC has nabbed since the start of the campaign. Former Florida governor Jeb Bush stopped by 30 Rock in June shortly after his own campaign kick-off.

Christie is no stranger to The Tonight Show. His second appearance, during summer 2014, notably saw him and Fallon present "The Evolution of Dad Dancing." That video has thus far logged 9 million views on YouTube.

As much as the presidential campaign is already dominating late-night monologues, candidates have not been making aggressive rounds. Republican candidate Donald Trump has yet to stop by any comedy program, despite the fodder he's given hosts. (Trump is anything but shy about other media appearances. He stops by The O'Reilly Factor on Monday night.)

Bush makes his second stop in September. The 62-year-old will be the first guest on Stephen Colbert's new version of CBS' Late Show.
