Alexa PenaVega and husband Carlos have joined the season 21 cast of “Dancing With the Stars,” marking the first time a married couple will compete on the reality series. The spouses will each be paired with separate professional dance partners for the competition show, but those pairings won’t be revealed until the full cast lineup is announced.
Alexa is best known for starring in the movie Spy Kids when she was 12-years-old, while Carlos made his name as a member of the boy band Big Time Rush. As Gossip Cop has previously reported, the couple began dating in late 2012, and wed in January 2014. Vega was once married to film producer Sean Covel before they divorced in 2012.
As Gossip Cop has noted this week, other stars slated to be on season 21 of “Dancing With The Stars” include Nick Carter, Bindi Irwin, Victor Espinoza, Kim Zolciak, Chaka Khan, and Paula Deen. Additional stars are expected to be announced on “Good Morning America” over the course of the next two weeks.
