Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has its first official full-length teaser trailer. It was released on Friday, one day after a pirated version was leaked online. The director, Zack Snyder, tweeted the legit preview, along with the caption, “#BatmanvSuperman #NotBlurry #NotPirated.” Watch the video below!
If you’ve somehow missed the continuing hype over the superhero flick, Man of Steel star Henry Cavill is returning as Superman, while Ben Affleck will portray Batman. The star-studded cast also includes Amy Adams, Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg, Holly Hunter and Laurence Fishburne. It will be released in 2016.
The teaser trailer is dark and gritty, in keeping with recent DC Comics movie adaptations. While not much of the plot is given away, it’s clear that humanity is trying to come to grips with the existence of an all-powerful Superman, and that Bruce Wayne’s transformation into Batman is a morally complex one.
