John Travolta has not seen "Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief" -- and doesn't plan to.
The actor opened up about the new HBO Scientology documentary with the Tampa Bay Times.
"No, I haven't," Travolta said of seeing the Alex Gibney-directed documentary, which the star is featured in, "and I don't really care to."

The actor told the paper that his dealings with the church have not been similar to what is depicted in the buzzed-about documentary.
"I haven't experienced anything that the hearsay has [claimed], so why would I communicate something that wasn't true for me?" Travolta said. "It wouldn't make sense, nor would it for Tom Cruise, I imagine."The actor explained that Scientology has been a positive experience for him for four decades.
"[It] has been nothing but brilliant for me," he said. "I've been so happy with my [Scientology] experience in the last 40 years that I really don't have anything to say that would shed light on [a documentary] so decidedly negative. I've been brought through storms that were insurmountable, and [Scientology has] been so beautiful for me, that I can't even imagine attacking it."

Scientology also helped the actor in some of the hardest points in his life, including the death of his son Jett in 2009.
"Oh, my god, I wouldn't have made it without the church's assistance," Travolta said of his son's death. "Honestly."
Adding, "I've helped so many people through hard times. Loss of children, loved ones, physical illnesses. Through many tough, tough life situations I've used the technology to support them and help them. It's always worked. So, why would I even approach a negative perspective? That would be a crime to me, personally, to do that."
