Robin Williams Fan Pays Tribute With 20 Uncanny Impressions That Will Make You Laugh (and Maybe Cry)

Imitation really is the sincerest form of flattery in this case. Robin Williams' death last August left an irreparable hole in Hollywood, and while no one will ever truly be able to fill it, it's nice to see his legacy live on in younger comedians. One such up-and-comer, Vine star Jamie Costa, paid tribute to the late actor in a video montage of impressions this week, bringing to life Williams' unforgettable spirit and knack for funny voices.

In the two-minute clip, posted to YouTube on Monday, April 13, Costa channels his idol to perform no fewer than 20 spot-on impressions of his most famous characters, including Daniel Hillard (as Mrs. Doubtfire), Mork (of Mork & Mindy), the Genie (from Disney's Aladdin), Teddy Roosevelt (from Night at the Museum), and radio DJ Adrian Cronauer (from Good Morning, Vietnam).

There are also glimpses of movies like Jumanji, Fern Gully, Flubber, The Birdcage, Popeye, and Good Will Hunting (for which Williams won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 1998).

Costa's impressions of the beloved comedian are uncanny. At times, he even looks like a younger version of Williams, who was 63 when he died of suicide in 2014.

"My tribute to the man whose spark ignited my passion," he captioned the video, aptly titled "Never Had a Friend Like Him," a reference to Williams' most famous song from 1992's Aladdin. "RIP Robin Williams."
