New ‘Suicide Squad’ Stars! – ARTICLE

The "Suicide Squad" cast is growing!

Director David Ayer and the cast of the DC Comics villains-turned-heroes movie held a table read on Wednesday and three new actors have joined the roster.

The already announced cast – Will Smith (Deadshot), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg) and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) – are seen in a photo posted by the director on Twitter.

Newcomers "The Mindy Project's" Ike Barinholtz, "True Blood" alum Jim Parrack and "Flags of Our Fathers" star Adam Beach are also seen in the photo.

According to reports, Barinholtz will star as Hugo Strange, Parrack has been cast as Deathstroke and Beach if slated to play villain Ravan.

Jared Leto, who is playing the Joker, was noticeably absent from the table read, as was Scott Eastwood, who is rumored to be playing Steve Trevor, who in the comics is a love interest of Wonder Woman.

"Suicide Squad" is slated to hit theaters on August 5, 2016.
