Mumford & Sons performed “The Wolf” on this week’s “SNL.” The song is the second single off the band’s soon-to-be released third album “Wilder Mind.” See the video below of Mumford & Sons performance of The Wolf” on “Saturday Night Live.”
This marks Mumford & Sons’ second appearance as the musical guests on “SNL.” The band made its “Saturday Night Live” debut back in 2012 when Joseph Gordon-Levitt hosted the show, and quite memorably performed “I Will Wait” and “Below My Feet.”
Mumford & Sons’ new song, “The Wolf,” premiered just two days ago on BBC Radio 1, and it has a very different sound from the band’s previous music. The acoustic and banjo sounds have been replaced with electric guitars and a faster tempo. And the band rocked it hard with their performance of “The Wolf” on “SNL.”
In support of the new album “Wilder Mind,” which will be come out on May 4, Mumford & Sons are playing a number of festivals, including Bonnaroo in June, and concerts throughout the summer in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, and the U.K.
