LeAnn Rimes is not asking husband Eddie Cibrian to move to Nashville so she can revive her music career, despite an entirely fabricated report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim, which began in one of the tabloids. Cibrian’s rep tells us the story is 100 percent not true.
According to OK!, “LeAnn is lobbying her hubby to leave Los Angeles in order to save her career, but Eddie wants to stay put.” The tabloid then quotes a supposed “insider” as saying that Rimes wants to be “the hottest star in Nashville” again, and so Cibrian is being “forced” to move. The magazine’s unreliable source adds, “LeAnn controls the purse strings. If he doesn’t want to go with her, their relationship may not survive.”
For background, OK! has been horrendously wrong about Cibrian and Rimes’ relationship, even having published an entirely false story a little more than six months ago about the actor being “caught cheating” on his wife. That story wasn’t true nor is the tabloid’s latest article about the couple. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Cibrian, who tells us the tabloid’s story is “totally untrue.”
Additionally, Rimes’ career is perfectly fine, and both she and Cibrian are on the same page about staying in L.A., where he’s slated to shoot a pilot for NBC.
