Kim Kardashian underwent surgery on her uterus, a medical procedure the very public star was able to keep secret until the new season of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Watch below.
As Gossip Cop has reported, much of the current 10th season has focused on Kardashian’s fertility struggles. The reality star has been outspoken about her desire to give daughter North a sibling, but despite some, um, strong efforts with husband Kanye West, Kardashian has been unable to get pregnant. And, as seen on the show, she found out she would need to have an operation on her uterus, an experience captured by the cameras.
Kardashian was seen talking to her doctor about the risk of carrying another baby, but is insistent that surrogacy will only be her “last resort.” The doctor replied, “The last thing I want to happen is your mom to be watching when you’re bleeding and having that difficult delivery.” The unsettling news led momager Kris Jenner to suggest Kourtney would be willing to be Kim’s surrogate.
Kim’s surgery was a relative success, with the overgrowth from her placenta getting “cleaned out.” The doctor even showed Kris before-and-after pictures, and said he was “optimistic” Kardashian would now be able to get pregnant and successfully carry her child. He put her on some hormones to induce her next cycle, prompting Kris to quip, “Hopefully she’ll move out by then, so I don’t have to go through yet another menstrual cycle with her.”
