“Keeping Up With The Kardashians” had the family trying to figure out what to do with Rob Kardashian, who had gained more than 100 pounds in the past year, became a reclusive, and is suffering from severe depression. After finding out that Rob, for some reason, needed money quickly, Kris Jenner decided it was time to enlist a professional to figure out what to do because, as she said, “I feel like if I don’t help him do something drastic, that he’s going to die.” She added, “It’s just like you’re waiting for this horrible thing to happen, and there’s nothing you can do about it.” The family, however, was divided about the approach.
Jenner told the professional how Rob used to be athletic and hard-working before putting on a load of weight, and no longer leaving the house, even for family events like Christmas and Kim Kardashian’s wedding. Kim said, “He is the king of excuses,” and felt the family needed to take a tough-love approach, including cutting him off financially, stop driving him on errands, and shopping for him because he doesn’t want to be seen in public. Kim said, “Everyone licks Rob’s a** and does whatever he says, and at some point you just have to give it up.” She noted, “We all make his life so easy… This is pathetic. We’re not going to cater to him anymore, but it has to be all of us.” And while Jenner felt maybe Rob’s past the point of no return, Kim countered, “No, he’s still competent to where he can ask for help if he needs it.”
Jenner later explained to Khloe Kardashian that she’s very “worried” about Rob, but Khloe thought if a professional team came to her home, where Rob also lives, he’ll feel ambushed. Khloe initially didn’t want the team in her house, but then relented.
During a phone call with Rob, Khloe pleaded with Rob to get help. She told him, “It’s not normal that you are refusing like the most, best help,” adding, “It’s the most top of the line help you can ever get.” She noted how he’s previously left “every facility we take you to,” and asked, “So, what’s the right way?” She yelled over the phone, “Just accept the f*cking help!”
Another plotline of the show was Kim’s inability to conceive again and undergoing a procedure to help her. She explained in the episode that “there is nothing more on this Earth that I would want than to be pregnant again,” but that she has to get her “uterus cleared out” before she could have another baby, and that it would probably be her last child.
There was also a plotline about how the employees of “Dash” were acting “very Mean Girls-ish,” so the “Dash Dolls,” as they’re known, went on a retreat to “learn how to work together.” There was booze, pizza, game and finally some bonding between the employees.
The fourth episode of season 10 ended with Kris being tough on the phone with Rob while taking Kim to the doctor. While at the doctor, Kim was told surrogacy would be the safest way to have a child. What did you think of this week’s episode?
