Fatherhood is fitting Derick Dillard just fine, says wife & new mom Jill (Dillard) Duggar.
Derick is "doing amazing at being a dad," Jill told People in a new interview.
The couple – featured on TLC's "19 Kids and Counting" – welcomed son Israel David Dillard on Monday, and it didn't take the new dad long to get the hang of things.

"I have a really steep learning curve, but I think I'm catching on fast!" he joked with People, with wife Jill calling Derick a "pro" at burping their new bundle of joy.
Derick also got his hands dirty (hopefully, not literally) changing Israel's diapers and giving the baby his first bath.

Derick also revealed he shares a common trait with just about all new fathers…
"I'm a little bit exhausted," he joked.
