Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard have welcomed their first child, a boy named Israel David Dillard. The baby was born on Monday, and both mom and son are doing well.

The boy, who arrived well past his due date, weighed in at a very healthy 9 pounds and 10 ounces. The family posted a photo on Instagram of the baby being held by Duggar and Dillard, who wore a T-shirt in a nod to his son that read, “Israel Defense Forces” in both English and Hebrew (see right).

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the “19 Kids & Counting” star and her husband announced the pregnancy in August. The couple wed just a few months earlier in June at Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas before more than 1,000 friends and family members. As Gossip Cop noted at the time, because of the enormity of Duggar’s family, five of Jill Duggar’s sisters were bridesmaids, several others were flower girls, two brothers were groomsmen, and five brothers served as ushers, while another brother was a ring bearer.

Prior to their engagement, Duggar and Dillard had never held hands, and only kissed for the first time on their wedding day. Apparently, they’ve progressed from there. Gossip Cop wishes Duggar and Dillard a mazel tov on the birth of their son Israel.
