Dayo Okeniyi rounds out the cast of the straight-to-series cop drama.
NBC's Shades of Blue is finalizing its cast.
The Hunger Games alum Dayo Okeniyi has booked the final series regular role on the Jennifer Lopez drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Picked up straight-to-series, Shades of Blue centers on Harlee McCord (Lopez) and follows a tight-knit crew of police officers who are effective at keeping the streets safe but also corrupt when it comes to lining their pockets and protecting their own. When one of the officers is forced to become a federal informant, she must decide between her own family's welfare and that of her police family.

Okeniyi — who played Thresh in Hunger Games — will portray Michael Loman, a new detective assigned to Lt. Bill Wozniak's (Ray Liotta) tight-knit plainclothes situation unit. He may have aced the detective exam, but book smarts will only get him so far on the street. Loman is intoxicated by the excitement of his new position until he mistakenly kills an unarmed suspect during a bust. He wants to believe his actions were justified and for the greater good, but a terrible guilt eats away at his conscience. This guilt causes him to seek a path of redemption but ultimately drives him further into a downward spiral of police corruption.
He joins a cast that also includes Drea de Matteo, Vincent Laresca (24),Warren Kole (Common Law) and Hampton Fluker.
Shades of Blue hails from executive producers Jack Orman, Adi Hasak, Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Ryan Seacrest and Nina Wass as well as Universal Television, Nuyorican Productions, EGTV and Ryan Seacrest Productions. Barry Levinson will direct and exec produce the pilot.
Okeniyi, who next appears in Terminator Genisys, is repped by UTA, Sweeney Entertainment and McKuin Frankel.
