“Full House” might be coming back. For real. Netflix is close to ordering “Fuller House” for 13 episodes, Gossip Cop confirms. The new show continues the adventures of San Francisco’s favorite sitcom family, starring Candace Cameron Bure as D.J. Tanner and Andrea Barber reprising her iconic role of Kimmy Gibbler.
The new “Fuller House” would be a multi-camera continuation of the “Full House” story, with potential guest appearances from original series stars like John Stamos, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier. It would be produced by Jeff Franklin, Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett, all of whom worked on the first show. Stamos would also be a producer.
Last August, Gossip Cop reported that Warner Bros. Television was considering a plan to revive the beloved 1987-1995 series. At the time, we learned that Stamos had been previously involved in pitching a revival of the show to potential buyers, but that he had since dropped out of the process.
It appears he and the other stars are once again be in the mix. Again, there has NOT been an announcement from Netflix confirming the show. Gossip Cop will have updates. A “Full House” revival would follow recently announced revivals of everything from “The X-Files” to “Coach.” “Girl Meets World,” a continuation of “Boy Meets World,” is already airing on the Disney Channel.
