Sunday’s 2015 Daytime Emmys are taking place at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. Check out the red carpet photos below!
With last year’s event considered “online-only” and not aired on television, a number of celebrities were turned off from attending. But the 42nd edition of the Daytime Emmy Awards are set to air live tonight on the POP network, and the star power is expected to be back in full force, led by host Tyra Banks. And who better to stun on the red carpet than the face of “America’s Next Top Model”?
But while the Daytime Emmy ceremony is back on TV this year, fans can’t tune in to any red carpet pre-show. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, last year’s red carpet broadcast was a verifiable disaster, with the incompetent co-hosts even making a rape joke. So, not surprisingly, that aspect of the festivities has been scrapped this year. “We want to put our full focus and financial resources into the ceremony and produce the greatest damn Daytime Emmy show ever,” POP president Brad Schwartz told TV Insider earlier this month. “Next year, we’ll invest in a pre-show. Right now, it’s important to remind everyone just how great these awards can be and how they deserve wonderful treatment.”
