Following a harrowing nearby gas leak, Firehouse 51 gets in close quarters with the employees of Chicago Medical when the hospital is forced into lockdown because of a dangerous patient who claims to be carrying a deadly airborne disease. As seen in the video below, things get even more complicated when Casey (Jesse Spencer) begins to suspect there is a fiery blaze happening somewhere in the hospital.
Viewers have already met two of Chicago Med's potential stars. Yaya DaCosta (Whitney) has appeared on two episodes of Fire as Severide's friend from high school who works as a nurse. P.D. recently introduced Halstead's doctor brother from New York, played by Nick Gehlfuss (Shameless). Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead), S. Epatha Merkerson (Law & Order), and Oliver Platt (The Big C) will also appear in the episode as employees at Chicago Medical.

Chicago Fire airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
