Candace Cameron Bure says she’s “super excited” for the upcoming Netflix series “Fuller House.” As Gossip Cop first reported earlier this month, Netflix picked up a 13-episode order of the “Full House” reboot, with Bure’s character D.J. Tanner as the lead star. See the video below.

“We’re super excited! We can finally announce it,” Bure tells a paparazzo, adding, “It’s been a long kept secret.” The actress wouldn’t divulge too many details about the show, but did confirm that viewers can expect to see a few of the “Full House” cast members. However, it’s not clear whether Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will be back to reprise their shared role as Michelle Tanner.

“The show is based around my character, Kimmy Gibbler, and Stephanie,” says Bure. On the original series, which began in 1987, Andrea Barber played Kimmy and Jodie Sweetin was Stephanie. During an appearance on Monday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” John Stamos publicly confirmed  that “Fuller House” was given the green light.

“We’ve been working on this for many, many years. We were trying to do some sort of spinoff. We were trying to give credit to the legacy, and we didn’t want to sort of throw it away, so Netflix came around and said let’s do 13 episodes,” said Stamos, noting, “It starts sort of as a reunion, and then spins off into… a spinoff.” Watch the video below of Bure talking about “Fuller House,” and tell us what you think.
