Bruce Jenner not only told Diane Sawyer, “I am a woman,” but he also came out as a Conservative. When an incredulous Sawyer asked, “Are you a Republican?!” Jenner replied, “Yeah, is that a bad thing?” He explained, “I’m kind of more on the conservative side.”
The former Olympian, who said he’s not much of a President Obama supporter, also said he would lobby Republican politicians about the transgender cause. Jenner added, “Neither political party has a monopoly on understanding.” A religious man, Jenner felt promoting the issues of transgenders is “why God put me on this earth, is to deal with this issue.”
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Jenner said he’s always had “the soul of a female.” He added, “My brain is much more female than it is male,” and that he no longer wanted to “live a lie.” The reality star explained he would like to “change the world.” In additional to talking about his transition, the Diane Sawyer special featured interviews with Jenner’s children, who embrace him and his decision to be a woman.
