Ashley Benson is not pregnant. There was some momentary confusion on Thursday after the “Pretty Little Liars” star shared an Instagram picture with her co-star Tyler Blackburn. In the shot, the actress’ bare belly is being kissed by Blackburn. Benson captioned the image, “First trimester [check].”
A number of fans seemed unsure of whether Benson was announcing a real pregnancy, a pregnancy for her character Hanna Marin, or just goofing around. “Are u prego?” asked one commenter. Another fan wondered, “In real life or just for the show?” On Twitter, someone asked, “Why didn’t I know ashley benson is pregnant OMG.” Someone else tweeted, “ASHLEY BENSON IS PREGNANT WITH TYLER BLACKBURNS BABY I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THEY WERE DATING.”
But before anyone gets carried away by the wrong impression… check out Blackburn’s own Instagram account. Because shortly after Benson shared her picture, the actor posted his own. In it, it’s Benson kissing Blackburn’s fake baby bump. He captioned the pic, “Second trimester [check].” See below. Aww!
In other words, don’t run out to get any baby shower gifts for Benson, and don’t believe any outlets confused or tricked by the initial photo. The pregnancy is fake, and all in good fun.
