Ant-Man Trailer Starring Paul Rudd Proves Good Things Come in Tiny Packages

Honey, they shrunk Paul Rudd! Marvel debuted its much-anticipated first trailer for the upcoming superhero flick Ant-Man, starring everyone's favorite everyman, on Monday, April 13.

The teaser — which clocks in at just under two-and-a-half minutes — sets the stage for the comic book company's tiniest vigilante, small-time thief-turned-good guy Scott Lang. Armed with a powerful suit and backed by scientist Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Lang has the ability to decrease in size while increasing in strength and speed.

"Scott, I've been watching you for a while. You're different," Pym tells the reformed jailbird. "I believe everyone deserves a shot at redemption. Do you?"

Lang's shot at redemption, it turns out, involves facing off against Darren Cross (House of Cards' Corey Stoll), who wants to militarize the Ant-Man technology to create armies of insect-sized soldiers.

"You tried to hide your suit from me," Cross threatens in the trailer, which is both funny and action-packed. "Now, it's gonna blow up in your face and destroy everyone you care about."
