Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are not adopting a child from Syria. Us Weekly reported this week that couple is looking to add to their brood with a new adoptive daughter from Syria. Gossip Cop can bust the story.

According to a source for the outlet, the alleged adoption is “in the works.” Us Weekly points out that Jolie has made at least six trips to the country since 2012 as part of her work as a United Nations special envoy. The actress-director has visited orphans in refugee camps, and the magazine says those experiences have had a major impact on her personally.

But while Jolie may have been touched by her trips to the war-ravaged region, she and Pitt have not made any decisions to adopt new children. Adoption rumors have followed the couple ever since they last welcomed children years ago, even with Pitt and Jolie repeatedly saying they currently have no plans to expand their family.

There’s no more substance to this new rumor than other Pitt-Jolie adoption rumors. A rep for the couple has shot down the report as untrue. For the time being, the brood is not getting any bigger.
