Peters becomes the latest cast member to re-up for Hotel. The actor has had a central role in all four of the previous seasons and was expected to return following his optimistic comments at PaleyFest in March.
Season five of AHS will star Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer and take place in a haunted Hotel. It will mark the show's first season without leading lady Jessica Lange.
Peters joins a cast that also includes Sarah Paulson as "the baddest girl of them all"; Kathy Bates, Chloë Sevigny, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson.
AHS: Hotel will debut in October.
