Zac Efron is not making High School Musical 4, despite a made-up story from RadarOnline, a site that frequently makes up stories. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the report, as we’ve busted countless RadarOnline reports in the past.
The outlet claims to have “exclusively learned that Efron has finally managed to clean up his act, and is ready for a huge career comeback in the much-anticipated High School Musical 4.” Apparently, RadarOnline missed Efron co-starring in the $150 million hit Neighbors and thinks he’s in dire need of a “comeback.”
“High School Musical 4 is much more than just an idea,” a so-called insider tells the webloid, which claims Efron had to overcome his “dark period” before being ready to return to the squeaky-clean franchise. RadarOnline says the High School Musical trilogy’s director, Kenny Ortega, only wanted to do another installment if Efron and Vanessa Hudgens returned as the leads.
The outlet’s source explains, “Zac [has] beat his demons and finally has got himself together… Now that he has seemingly beaten the battle, Zac says he is ready to reprise his role in HSM4.”
Nope. Not even a little bit true. Efron is fine, he’s been fine for a while, and he is not preparing for any kind of High School Musical sequel. It’s all in RadarOnline’s imagination. A source close to Efron tells Gossip Cop exclusively the report is “ridiculous” and scoffed at the lame idea he’s in desperate need of a “comeback.”
