It's been less than 24 hours since Jared Leto broke the hearts of his fans – with a cut heard round the world!
In preparation for his upcoming role in "Suicide Squad" as The Joker, the 43-year-old chopped off his hair and shaved his beard… (insert your gasp here!)
Director David Ayer Tweeted, "Should we? #SuicideSquad" sharing a photo of the actor just before his cut.

"I miss my beard already," the Oscar winner captioned the same photo on Instagram, which shows a pair of scissors just about to make the first cut of his beloved long locks.
The director revealed Jared's short hair and beard-free look on Twitter, proving that the actor looks amazing with any amount of hair.

"Suicide Squad," which also stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, is slated to hit theaters on August 5, 2016.
