Everyone is interested in the new Rihanna song “B*tch Better Have My Money,” especially MediaTakeOut, because the disreputable webloid can run stories like Friday’s report claiming the track is a “diss song” about Beyonce. It is absolutely NOT about Beyonce, Gossip Cop can confirm.

We’re not going to repeat the lowlights of MTO’s track record with both Rihanna and Beyonce here. A quick check of the Gossip Cop archives will demonstrate just how off base the site’s “reporting” about both women has been for years. Here’s how the blog frames the latest story: “Rihanna and Beyonce’s FEUD has gone from ZERO TO 100 REAL QUICK. According to MULTIPLE sources close to Beyonce, the QUEEN feels that Rihanna’s new song B*TCH BETTER HAVE MY MONEY is about BEYONCE.”

According to MTO’s so-called “insider,” Rihanna is renegotiating her contract with RocNation, which is somehow proof that the track is about Jay Z’s wife: “Who else could she be talking about [other than Jay Z and Beyonce] when she’s talking about b*tch better have my money.”

Huh? Why on earth would Rihanna attack Beyonce if she’s trying to get a new contract with Jay Z? This could not make less sense if MTO tried. Rihanna and Jay Z have been longtime professional collaborators. Why does MTO insist on perpetuating this tired, baseless idea that she’s at war with Beyonce? Why would Jay Z sign off on a song meant as an attack on his wife?

Moreover, “B*tch Better Have My Money” was written by four different people, and produced by several others, including Jay Z’s pal Kanye West. Why would ANY of these people want to attach themselves to a purported Beyonce diss track? MTO is so desperate to create tension between Rihanna and Beyonce, and between Kanye West and Jay Z, that it’s totally lost touch with reality. A source close to Rihanna tells Gossip Cop the story is “unbelievably wrong.”
