Nick Gordon reportedly checked into rehab for drugs following a taped “Dr. Phil” appearance during which he threatened to kill himself if Bobbi Kristina Brown does not emerge from her coma and recover. Specific details about the nature of Gordon’s treatment have not been disclosed. Gossip Cop has reached out for confirmation and additional information.
Earlier this week, Gordon and his mother sat down for an interview with Dr. Phil. According to TMZ, the meeting became more like an “intervention,” as Gordon allegedly discussed suicide as a possibility if Bobbi Kristina’s medical crisis persists. His mother is said to have expressed concerns about his depression and alleged drug abuse.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Gordon made a vague reference to suicide on Twitter on Tuesday, writing, “I’m so hurt I wanna do myself in, I know I have to [be] strong.” On Wednesday, he wished Bobbi Kristina a happy 22nd birthday and tweeted, “I wish I was there with you to hold you and be by your side.”
Gordon has been in a weeks-long battle with Bobby Brown over access to Bobbi Kristina and the investigation over what led to her hospitalization in the first place. On January 31, she was found face down and unresponsive in her bathtub. She’s been in a medically induced coma ever since. Gossip Cop will have updates.
