NeNe Leakes wants to be on “Fashion Police,” and the late Joan Rivers is her inspiration. On Monday, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star was asked about why she’d make a good addition to the show. “Because I’m fashionable, and I keep it real… like Joan,” she told paparazzi. “I keep it real and tell it like it is. And I love her.” Watch the video below.
The reality star certainly isn’t shy about offering her opinions. When one paparazzo wondered which of the “Real Housewives” needs therapy, Leakes replied, “All of them… They’re thirsty as hell.” And she showed off her fashion acumen, too. “I like your scarf,” she told the cameraman. “That’s very fashionable. You look great.”
Of course, “Fashion Police” is in upheaval after the departure of Kelly Osbourne and a shaky start to the post-Rivers era with Kathy Griffin at the helm. Last month, Giuliana Rancic found herself embroiled in controversy when she made a joke about Zendaya’s dreadlocks that offended many as racially insensitive.
