Kelly Osbourne and more stars are praising Kathy Griffin for quitting “Fashion Police.” As Gossip Cop reported, Griffin announced on Twitter on Thursday night that she is leaving the E! series after just seven episodes. The comedienne explained she was resigning because her brand of humor did not fit with the series, which has been especially controversial as of late.

And while Griffin is no stranger to controversy herself, she explained in her statement that she believes “Fashion Police” can be “inappropriate” without reason, which is not something with which she wants to partake. That won praise from Griffin’s ex-colleague Osbourne, who quit the show last month. Along with a photo of herself and Griffin touching tongues (see above), Osbourne tweeted, “I could not be more proud of you @kathygriffin you have my love and support always!”

Chelsea Handler, another former E! personality who recently spoke out against the network, also commended Griffin. “@kathygriffin way to go girl. Stick to your guns,” tweeted Handler, adding, “Onwards and sideways. Lub you.” And Jane Lynch, who is also no stranger to comedy, shared Griffin’s statement on her own Twitter page, and wrote, “My brave and courageous friend @kathygriffin You’re one classy dame. Onward and upward.”

Despite Griffin essentially slamming “Fashion Police” in her statement, she wished the creative team well, and E! returned the sentiment in its own statement. And, as of now, the next scheduled “Fashion Police” broadcast is still slated for March 30, even though only Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski currently remain on the panel. What do you think of stars praising Griffin for her decision?
