Chris Harrison announced during Monday's "After the Final Rose" special of The Bachelor that both Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson will appear on the upcoming premiere of The Bachelorette, with the 25 men deciding which will get to remain as the star of the show.
"For the first time in Bachelorette history, we're going to have two Bachelorettes," Harrison said.
Bristowe came in third place on Chris Soules' season of The Bachelor, which aired its season-19 finale Monday. Nilsson had been let go earlier in the season after Soules questioned her sincerity.

"I think what was going through my mind was, 'Well, that's not ideal,' " Bristowe said about learning that she would be facing off with Nilsson to front the show.
The change, which mirrors a twist that The Bachelor tried in season six, follows The Bachelorette having suffered through series-low ratings in 2014 with Andi Dorfman.
