Banning the term “climate change” is a good start. But are they going far enough?
Florida has come up with an innovative solution for combating climate change — banning the concept altogether.
According to the Miami Herald, “DEP officials have been ordered not to use the term 'climate change' or 'global warming' in any official communications, emails, or reports.” This is according to former DEP employees, insiders, and records obtained by the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting.
This is an outside-the-box idea and an important step for Florida, which, with its low elevation and ample coastal communities, has a lot to lose if sea levels continue to rise.
But why stop at climate change? Science—and nature—have burdened us with a bunch of bummer concepts over the years. Here’s what else Florida should have banned.

Gravity
For too long, humanity (nay, life!) has been shackled by the inescapable pull of gravity. Physicists have put unnecessary restrictions on our movement and an undue burden on our aerospace and aviation industries. Let’s fix this problem today!

Special Relativity
Einstein and others of his ilk have repeatedly told us that the speed of light is fixed and the laws of physics are invariant throughout the universe. This heavy-handed piece of physics has made time-travel all but impossible, and it must be banned.

First Law of Thermodynamics
Energy cannot be created or destroyed? This law is draconian and outdated. (It was first fully described in 1850!) Getting rid of this requirement would be a big win for sustainable energy. Perpetual motion power plants would be king.
