Life starring Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan had its world premiere Monday at the Berlin International Film Festival, and now the first clip from the movie has surfaced online. Watch below!

As Gossip Cop reported, DeHaan plays James Dean in movie, which is based on the real-life friendship the actor had with Life magazine photographer Dennis Stock, whom Pattinson portrays. In the early 1950s, Stock was assigned to shoot Dean as he traveled across the United States, and the pair formed a special bond during the journey. Some of the pictures Stock took of Dean went on to become the most famous images of the late movie star, who died in a car crash in 1955. In fact, the most iconic photo of Dean, which shows him smoking a cigarette in Times Square, was taken by Stock.

In the first Life clip, fans get a glimpse at the darker hair Pattinson sports for the role, as well as his New York accent. In the scene, Stock and Dean are outside a newsstand, where the actor expresses his concern that the photographer is wrapped up in the game of Hollywood. Stock then proceeds to convince him otherwise.

Pattinson’s casting was first reported in 2013, and filming took place in Toronto last year. Directed by Anton Corbijn, the movie also features Ben Kingsley and Joel Edgerton. There’s currently no distribution deal in place, so no release date has been set. In the meantime, enjoy the first Life clip below, along with video of Pattinson and DeHaan at the film festival’s press conference.
