Jimmy Fallon did a spot-on spoof of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” opening at the start of Monday’s “Tonight Show.” The epic parody, called “The Fresh Host of Tonight,” was in honor of “The Tonight Show” returning to Los Angeles for the first time since Jay Leno stepped down and Fallon took over as host a year ago. Check out the video below!

The amusing bit was almost a shot-for-shot recreation of the original, which, of course, starred Will Smith. Fallon changed up the lyrics to fit the occasion, rapping, “Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down, and I’d like to take a minute, if that’s okay, I’ll tell you how I brought ‘The Tonight Show’ back out to L.A.” He continued, “In Rockefeller Center, NYC, in the legendary studio they call 6B, chillin’ out, hostin’ the show with my crew, I mean Quest and Tariq and the rest of The Roots, when a couple of guys who were sick of the cold said that maybe I should take the show on the road.”

“Higgins backed up my bags, because we’re leaving today. He said, ‘It’s time to take ‘The Tonight Show’ to sunny L.A,'” rapped Fallon. “I whistled for a cab but when it came near, the license plate said ‘HOST’ and Jazzy Jeff was in there. The city was 3,000 miles away, but I thought, nah, forget it. Yo, home to L.A.!” The comedienne went on, “I pulled up to the park about 7 or 8, and I yelled out to Jazzy, ‘Yo, home, smell ya later!’ I looked at the city and said, ‘Today is the day we bring ‘The Tonight Show’ from New York to L.A.”

Fallon was joined in the video by The Roots, and there were even cameos from “Fresh Prince” star stars DJ Jazzy Jeff and Alfonso Ribeiro, who, naturally, performed his signature Carlton dance. Fallon and Smith have a long history of collaboration, with their “Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing” video being one of Fallon’s most popular ever. Could this new clip top it?
