'Fresh Off the Boat'

Considering most Tuesday comedy launches are a disaster, Fresh Off the Boat's entry into ABC's 8 p.m. hour last night wasn't too shabby. After it's strong sampling last Wednesday, sandwiched around an episode of Modern Family, back-to-back episodes of the new series fetched a 1.7 and 1.8 rating among adults 18-49. That put it well ahead of all other Tuesday comedies — including NBC's Parks and Recreation, finally humbled with a 1.0 rating in the key demo ahead of its swan song.
