'Empire'

It wouldn't be Thursday morning if we weren't pondering how Empire managed to grow its ratings yet again. The Fox drama, airing its sixth episode, again improved upon its previous scores — posting a 4.7 rating among adults 18-49  and 11.9 million viewers. Up just a tenth of a point from the previous week, it added more than 400,000 viewers.

As for American Idol (2.7 adults), it shed four-tenths of a point from last Wednesday.
