“There’s nought better than a fat guy in a bumbag and a leotard dancing to Madonna,” Grado told BuzzFeed News.
Meet Scottish wrestler Grado, real name Graeme Stevely.
The wrestler, from Stevenson, North Ayrshire, has starred in BBC and Vice documentaries about British wrestling and is one of the most popular personalities on the wrestling scene.
Grado is well known for his entrance music, Madonna's "Like a Prayer".
This week, though, he was informed that he had been denied permission to use the track for a wrestling bout that took place two weeks ago and is due to be broadcast on American TV.
On Wednesday Grado released this video, showcasing his enthusiastic entrance and begging Madonna to reconsider and allow him to use the song.
Speaking to BuzzFeed News, Grado said he didn't think the singer had personally denied him permission, but rather that it was one of her representatives.
"Obviously I don't imagine it's Madonna herself,," he said. "I can't imagine she's sat on her iPad scrolling through her emails and she sees one that says 'Grado's entrance music' and she says no.
"I've got a feeling that someone is obviously speaking on her behalf, so that's why I wanted to try and get her attention on Twitter, try and get her notifications up, you know, try and get a wee buzz going on [her] timeline."
Nah, because I mean it's the middle of the night over there, so she's probably in her bed sleeping, or, you don't know, she could be having an all-nighter – she could be up on the booze and then she maybe gets to that stage where she wants to look at YouTube videos for a laugh and she sees that my video is trending and then that may catch her eye, so you don't know, man.
