Some of the best Grammy Awards moments weren’t captured on television or caught by the official photographers at the Staples Center. They were taken by celebrities themselves and shared on social media for a truly intimate look at music’s biggest night. Check out the best snapshots below!
Anna Kendrick proved that “it takes a village” to get ready, and Rihanna was still getting glam when she found out she and Eminem won an early Grammy. Miley Cyrus and Neil Patrick Harris both posed for selfies in the car on the way to the Staples Center, and Taylor Swift’s longtime best friend Abigail captured their pre-show excitement. As he teased on the red carpet, Pharrell demonstrated the incredible way camera flashes change the color of his suit, and his “Voice” colleague Gwen Stefani freaked out over her gorgeous Versace gown.
Diplo and Madonna took a selfie on the red carpet, and Ariana Grande later found herself amazed to be in the Queen of Pop’s presence. A first-time nominee, Grande of course had a big night, too, and gave an emotional performance, after which Big Sean posted some of their celebratory PDA in tribute to his girlfriend. During the ceremony, Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo were photobombed by Meghan Trainor, and Rihanna made herself comfy in the lap of four-time winner Sam Smith.
Usher hung out with Chris Brown, and Jamie Foxx’s daughter Annalise got to meet virtually every A-list musician, including Katy Perry. Madonna wasn’t up for any awards, but groped some of her own, uh, Grammys, while Kim Kardashian, John Legend, and Chrissy Teigen hilariously shared reactions to Beck beating Beyoncé for Album of the Year. Beyoncé and Jay Z were still big winners, though, and they happily posed with their new hardware.
After the show, Diplo found himself making peace with Swift (in a new outfit!) after a very public feud, while Khloe Kardashian showed some serious leg as she partied with sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. And while it’s still not clear what exactly happened, Teigen and Legend ended up locked out somewhere. See all the awesome pictures below!
