More than two months after the birth, a new rumor claims Scott Disick named son Reign Aston after a nightclub in Seattle. Gossip Cop looked into the allegation, and can confirm it’s totally false. The story comes from RadarOnline, which alleges that Disick’s “passion for partying even influenced his newborn son’s name,” claiming “Disick spent a night out at Seattle club Aston Manor in February 2014, and sources say he had so much fun, he wanted the moniker to live on.”

Disick was supposedly partying “hard” and “talking about the club with the managers and a server” when he revealed his “idea.” RadarOnline quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “He actually said, ‘Aston, I love that name. I’m going to name my son Aston.” The site writes that Disick “lived up to his word,” and even says, “Now he can remember his wild night out for the rest of his life” because the baby was named Aston.

But there are a few major problems with this story, the first being that the timeline doesn’t even add up. Disick’s girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to Reign Aston in early December 2014. Disick could not have possibly known she was expecting a boy the previous February, 10 months prior. Second, Disick didn’t even find out Kardashian was pregnant until the spring, when she revealed she had been keeping the secret from him since March. You know, after February when Disick was at the Seattle club.

Finally, Disick wasn’t even planning on having more kids, as evidenced in his angry reaction seen on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” when Kardashian broke the news (see video below). So it’s not even possible to logically claim Aston had been the name he was planning for his next child at a time when he wasn’t even wanting to have one. And RadarOnline doesn’t even give any explanation as to why the supposed reason for the baby naming is coming out months after Reign Aston’s birth and a year after the conversation allegedly happened. In any case, a source close to the family assures Gossip Cop that the claim Disick named Reign Aston after a nightclub is completely untrue.
