And Gamora makes five. Vanessa Marshall will provide the voice of the estranged assassin daughter of Thanos in the animated spin-off of last summer’s blockbuster Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, it was announced this morning.
Guardians will continue a lengthy superhero career for Marshall, who has already taken on roles in Marvel’s Avengers AssembleAvengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Black Panther and The Spectacular Spider-Man previously, in addition to roles in Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Young Justice, Justice League and Ben 10. She also voices Hera Syndulla on the current Disney XD series Star Wars: Rebels.
With the addition of Gamora, the voice cast for the movie line-up of the Guardians has been completed. Marshall will join Kevin Michael Richardson’s Groot, Trevor Devall’s Rocket Raccoon, David Sobolov’s Drax and Will Friedle’s Star-Lord on the series, which will premiere on Disney XD later this year.
