Kristen Stewart has signed on to a new movie with Laura Dern and Michelle Williams, Gossip Cop has learned. The as-of-yet titled film was written and slated to be directed by Kelly Reichardt, who most recently did Night Moves with Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning, and Peter Sarsgaard.
Right now there aren’t a lot of details, but Gossip Cop is told the film follows the lives of a few people living in a small town in Montana. Stewart’s storyline is about a woman who’s a lawyer by trade but becomes a teacher. Her character has to drive hours to her teaching job, which leads her to grow close to a woman taking her class.
Laura Dern also plays a lawyer, who’s having an affair with Michelle Williams’ character’s husband, played by James Le Gros. The film, which does not have a start date yet, is slated to be shot in Montana.
It seems Stewart is not going to take that well-deserved break she had talked about a few months ago. Instead, Stewart, who can now we seen opposite Julianne Moore in Still Alice and after that in Equals with Nicholas Hoult, is jumping back into work. Gossip Cop will update as more details emerge about this new film.
