Pictures of the supposed 18-inch rat reached the top of Facebook’s trending topics.
Imagine looking out into your back garden and spotting this huge creature staring back at you.
That's apparently what happened to Sam Firth recently when she found a massive rat in her garden in Belsize Park, north London.

According to the Daily Mail, Firth believed the rat was between 16 and 18 inches long.
"It was bizarre, I was sat having a cup of tea when I spotted the rat staring back at me. I'm afraid to venture outside, the gigantic rodent had no fear," the Splash picture agency quoted Firth as saying.
After a number of UK news websites published Firth's pictures of the rat, the images began trending on Facebook.
