Kesha is promising to give fans new music “soon,” and on Saturday, she whet their appetite with a short Instagram video in which she’s heard singing a capella. Watch below.

In the brief clip, Kesha sings softly, “Stay young/wild one/I know your heart has been through it all/stay young.” From just those lyrics, fans are already speculating the star is working on an autobiographical track that touches on her personal struggles. Kesha captioned the post, “I will release new music as soon as I possibly can animals. as soon as I f*cking can.”

Almost immediately after, “Let Kesha Go Dr Luke” began trending on Twitter, a nod to the “Free Kesha” campaign that fans began last year. Many took the singer’s comment to be an indirect reference to her ongoing legal war with music producer Dr. Luke, who still has Kesha signed to his Kemosabe record label, despite a huge falling out.

Their rift went public early last year, when Kesha sought in-patient treatment for an eating disorder, which her mother Pebe Sebert publicly blamed on Luke. Though she finished rehab last March, and spent the summer working on ABC’s “Rising Star,” there hasn’t been any new Kesha music since 2013, and her last album, Warrior, came out in 2012.

Kesha has been trying to get out of her contract with Luke, and filed a bombshell lawsuit against him in October alleging he drugged and sexually assaulted her, in addition to instances of verbal and emotional abuse. Her lawyer Mark Geragos said at the time that Kesha was trying to “regain control of her music career and her personal freedom after suffering for ten years as a victim of mental manipulation, emotional abuse and an instance of sexual assault.”

Dr. Luke filed his own lawsuit in response, claiming Kesha fabricated the assault story, and along with her mother, was trying to extort him. He also sued Sebert for allegedly threatening to spread false allegations about him if he did not release Kesha from their deal. Kesha is set to resume her Warrior tour in South America later this month, and some are speculating she might debut some new music during the concerts. In the meantime, check out the video below, and tell us what you think.

I will release new music as soon as I possibly can animals. as soon as I fucking can.
