Katy Perry joked about the New England Patriots “Deflate-gate” scandal, threw her support behind the Seattle Seahawks, and introduced the world to her dog Butters during an entertaining Thursday press conference ahead of her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. Watch the video below!

“I don’t think I’m so much of an expert on the game of football, but I think I can assure everyone here that nothing in my performance will be deflated,” joked Perry, referring to allegations that the Patriots deflated balls prior to their AFC Championship Game win.

She declared, “I love the Seahawks because of [quarterback Russell Wilson], and I think I’m probably going to go for them.” Perry talked about her plan to bring a “lion and sharks” to the halftime show, her multiple planned costume changes, and another special guest (besides Lenny Kravitz) that she’s invited to join her on Sunday.

“I think when this person enters the stage, and when you hear the first ring of the chord, I think jaws will drop and faces will melt,” she said of the surprise performer. Perry also joked, “I’m just here so I don’t get fined,” invoking Seahawks star (and unenthusiastic interviewee) Marshawn Lynch. And then her dog Butters ran out on stage!
