Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will have plenty of bad guys to contend with when The Flash returns next week.

The CW's The Flash has cast Dexter alum Devon Graye in a villain role, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

He'll play Axel Walker, a copycat version of The Trickster  (Mark Hamill) in episode 17 this season. When the copycat Trickster begins to wreak havoc around Central City, Barry and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) must seek out the original Trickster James Jesse (Hamill) to put a stop to it.

Graye is best known for playing the teenage version of Dexter Morgan on Showtime's Dexter. Hamill also played The Trickster in the short-lived CBS The Flash series that aired in the '90s.

The Flash was recently renewed for a second season, and has a whole slew of bad guys lined up to challenge Barry, including Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Pied Piper (Andy Mientus).

The Flash returns from its winter hiatus Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. Check out a new, extended look at the return:
