Taylor Lautner and Marie Avgeropoulos have split, Gossip Cop confirms. We’ve learned the couple called it quit months ago, but managed to keep the breakup under the radar. Lautner has since moved on, but we’re told he’s not in any exclusive romance at the moment.
Lautner and Avgeropoulos were first reported to be dating back in July of 2013. The stars met that summer while filming the movie Tracers. Now a year and a half later, the movie is slated to hit theaters in March. Avgeropoulos plays Lautner’s love interest as he pulled into an underground parkour group that is far more criminal that it initially seems. The trailer teases a steamy love scene between the now-exes. Watch below.
Throughout their relationship, the co-stars never made any formal appearances together. But they were photographed on dates numerous times, sometimes snapped holding hands. Neither ever discussed the romance, either. Lautner appears to have a thing for colleagues, as he previously dated Lily Collins, with whom he appeared in Abduction, and his Valentine’s Day makeout partner, Taylor Swift. Their split reportedly inspired the singer’s hit, “Back To December.”
Lautner and Avgeropoulos’ breakup was first reported by E!. When contacted by Gossip Cop, a rep for the actor had no comment.
